We aren't just teaching reading. We literally rewire the brain!

After 18 years as a classroom teacher, I saw firsthand that so many bright kids need more: a specialized, structured reading approach that a traditional school day simply cannot provide. That's why I founded Rewired Readers. I wanted to step outside the classroom walls and give students the intensive, 1-on-1 focus they need to truly bridge the gap.

As an IMSE Orton-Gillingham Certified Specialist who completed a supervised, intensive practicum, I don't just offer standard tutoring, I deliver targeted, structured literacy instruction designed to rewire how students learn. Using proven Science of Reading methods, I help struggling, dyslexic, and hesitant readers break the code, catch up to their peers, and get their spark back. When a child learns how to read with confidence, it changes how they see themselves and builds real, lasting independence.

I keep growing too. I recently completed IMSE's Morphology Plus course, deepening how I teach the meaning-based patterns (prefixes, roots, and suffixes) that help older readers decode and spell longer words with confidence.

When I'm not rewiring readers, I'm spending time with my husband, our two boys, and our dog, Maple. We're an active family who loves hiking, live music, and competitive game nights at home!
